Export a Day Out of Days (DOOD)
A Day Out of Days (DOOD) is a standard production chart showing which cast or crew are needed on each shoot day. From the Availability tab you can export a DOOD as a PDF, choosing which element types to include. Open it from Crew in the sidebar, then select Availability.
Prerequisites
- A project with scenes scheduled onto shoot days in the active scenario, so the DOOD has data.
- Exporting a DOOD needs the admin role or higher.
What a DOOD shows
The chart has one row per cast or crew member or element, one column per shoot day, and a status code in each cell:

Export a DOOD
- On the Availability tab, select Export DOOD in the toolbar.
- The Export DOOD dialog opens, showing an Element Types checklist.
- Tick the types to include. Each row shows the type’s color and icon.
- Characters is selected by default.
- Use the Select All / Deselect All toggle in the top-right of the list to flip every type at once.
- Select Export PDF (N), where N is the number of types selected. The button is disabled when nothing is selected.
The PDF generates on the server and downloads to your browser, and a toast confirms with the filename.

Tips
- Selecting every type gives a complete picture, but the report grows large for productions with many people.
- The DOOD reads your schedule, so make sure scenes are scheduled onto shoot days before exporting.
- Re-export whenever the schedule changes — the file is a snapshot at the moment you generate it.
